Diana Honored for her Sense of Fashion

Kensington Palace was Diana’s home during her marriage to Prince Charles. She was also permitted to live there with her two sons after their divorce. Beginning in March, this palace will honor the princess by holding a display of some of her more famous evening gowns. This display will begin on March 26 and run until the end of August.

Some of the gowns on display during this event will include cocktail dresses and formal attire by Catherine Walker, Versace, and Emanuel. Along with the dresses, there will be some famous photographs of Diana and sketches of the masterpieces while they were being designed. The Letter Tells All

One of the things used in the movie “Unlawful Killing” to validate the claim that Diana was murdered is one of her handwritten notes. In a letter to her butler a short time before her death, Diana gave a chilling prediction of her fate and indicated she was afraid for her life. Movie Proves Unlawful in U.K.

A film depicting the death of Princess Diana, her companion Dodi Fayed, and her limousine driver in 1997 played last year at the Cannes Film Festival. The documentary “Unlawful Killing” mainly deals with the many conspiracy theories surrounding her death in an automobile accident in Paris, France. Celebrating Diana

Exhibit to commemorate her life and legacy

Coming soon to the Mall of America is “Diana: A Celebration”. From February 4 through June 10, 2012 this exhibit will be on display for the public to enjoy. Some of the items featured include Diana’s wedding dress, 28 of her designer ball gowns, and two of her diamond tiaras

In all, the exhibit is contained in nine different galleries which feature family heirlooms, paintings, and video clips of the princess. There are over 150 items on exhibit, all of which are on loan from Althrop, the Spencer family estate. These items reflect her life from a child in England until her death in France. The text of her brother’s tribute to her and many of the condolences left by mourners after her death are on display as part of this historical exhibit. Read more about Celebrating Diana

Diana Frances Spencer was born on July 1, 1961 and was the daughter of Edward John Spencer and Frances Burke Roche, Viscount and Viscountess. Her parents divorced in 1969 and her father was granted custody of Diana and her siblings. In 1975, her paternal grandfather passed away and her father became the Earl of Spencer.
